Pallid and Austere
The Keeper's posture might be good, making the most of her modest height and scrawny frame, but any elegance to it is offset by the rigid and inexpressive manner of her body language.
Her speech is much the same. Low in pitch and volume as baseline, rising in both for emphasis. Clear, concise, and eloquent, but also biting, unfiltered, and mordant.
The wardrobe matches the woman's palette; black, white, grey if strictly necessary. As little bare skin as permissible by a comfortable relation of the delta between body temperature and detestable solar radiation.
Ruins
Equal parts hobby and occupation, Thali maintains a deep interest in the dark histories of the world. From War of the Magi secrets to the nefarious machinations of Ishgardian nobles to the murders and plots of the modern day; the stranger and more arcane, the better. She can be found both in archives and in the field pursuing her investigations, employing her natural aether sensitivity and esoteric Keeper mysticism to guide her hunt.
Grimoires
Thali is an arcanist of exacting requirements. While an accomplished practitioner, her demands for precision led her to craft her own tomes to meet her tight specifications. This is now her primary source of income, serving picky and deep-pocketed arcanists with a demand for perfection. She is also known to take on the rebinding of rare books and crafting of illuminated manuscripts and divining cards.
Blades
The Relkha family has maintained a tradition of martial training and service dating back to the Autumn War. While the latter is the farthest thing from her mind, being the daughter of a bladesmith gave her an appreciation for the art. Sparring and fencing serve as her primary form of exercise and one of the few collaborative activities where she willingly dispenses compliments and pleasantries.The application of these skills in real combat are rare, left for situations when the need for self defence is dire. In such cases the sword is oft upstaged by a blend of her family's tradition of thaumaturgy and her own collection of leaflets inked with quick-casting arcane geometries, left to merely discourage a would-be bandit from getting too close or dispatch a charging beast.
The Old Blood
The old line of Relkha is one whispered of in dark tales and sordid rumours, rightly earned by the deep swamp clan for over two centuries. The new line, however, has spent four generations ensuring none could gainsay their noble intentions. Refugees of a cult and culture that the Relkhas have spared no expense or opportunity to distance themselves from. Civil service, charity, stringent adherence to Elemental Law. Many take professions entirely disconnected from the land so as to ensure that no part of their existence is subject to Woodsin directly, leaving any such accusations farcical and easily dismissed.
The last of the old blood is widely believed to have been extinguished during the seventh umbral calamity, but the Relkhas of Gridania know better. There was no better time for the fragments to disperse and assimilate into the various bands of Keeper outlaws of the Shroud. These, Thali tracks carefully, looking for opportunities to bring them to justice. For the family name and the Shroud. And because it's a bit of fun, isn't it?
The current Relkha matrons live expatriate in La Nocea, pursuing their careers in bladesmithing and imports while seeing their children through formal educations both mundane and arcane via the Arcanists' guild.
